THIS IS ME

Since my earliest childhood, I have been (un)consciously inspired by objects and how they are made. My family practised the Craft occupations. They were shoemakers, carpenters and bakers. As a result of this early exposure I became familiar with fabrics, sewing machines, leather, wood as well as interesting patterns and forms. The hospitality and generosity of my parents enabled me to observe people in their various occupations and to be inspired by them. 

It was due to this background, that in my adult years, I was inspired to create clothing from fabrics with interesting patterns. I was fascinated by shoes, the designs, materials and forms. I also had the opportunity to learn more and eventually worked in sales for exclusive and high-end footwear. Years later, as a professional chef, I created my own recipes and organised gastronomical events where art, literature, music and the recipes I created were combined. In recent years, as a Tango dancer and teacher, a discipline that I have been able to fully submerge myself. For me it is the ultimate way to express my passions.

Drawing has manifested itself naturally. It was a logical consequence of my experiences. Where everything develops its own form and interpretation. My drawings emerge from my emotions and from my heart – the person that I am at the depths of my being. I feel a need to share these emotions with people both near and far, so that they too can experience the pleasure, the beauty, the joy and the love of my creations.
